Schism - A Tribute To Tool Bend Concert reviews
Lovett/Hiatt show great - but too early in the day
Overall, I understand the limitations imposed by weekday shows at Humphrey's, but since the staging was so sparse, a significant part of the intimacy that could have been a hallmark of the show was lost by performing half of the set in daylight. On another note, we're fairly upset that Humphrey's has chosen to take down the privacy screening used in previous years to avoid the "floaters" enjoying the same sights & sounds for free that we're paying premium money to experience. Much as we love the venue, we're probably not going to continue to subsidize their freebie. Maybe we'll just borrow a dinghy from now on instead of paying. It doesn't really change anything for us, but paying for what others are getting for free sticks in my craw. Wonderful show, but it was an issue for this particular show.
